My mum only weeks before she passed away in 2003. I was living on the coast not far from where she lived in Tuncurry, I use to visit every Sunday for lunch, on this occasion mum had not been long out of hospital, she had just come home from shopping and was pretty much exhausted by the effort. Unfortunately she loved her beer ( too much ) A bit of appropriation art happening in this piece, easy to see who I was inspired by back in 2008 when I painted this piece for the Sulman Prize Submission 2009, from a drawing I did of my mother years before.
