“Good things take time, as they should. We shouldn’t expect good things to happen overnight. Actually, getting something too easily or too soon can cheapen the outcome.” John Wooden

Work in progress.
"The Time Keeper" Pen 15.10.14.
I've been working this stippled drawing for four weeks now, and as usual with a lot of my work the story evolves as I'm working it. I usually start with a basic idea and in this case it was around the theme of time and impermanence, birth, death and resurrection, my favourite I have used in much of my work, along with the Mother & Child ideal.
I create few pen drawings these days even though I had aspirations of becoming a Black & White Artist after first viewing Norman Lindsay's pen work many years ago. These days I do the odd piece enjoying the intensity of concentration required..
