A little piece I came up with yesterday, another of my self nudes, though in this case I have on my tradies and singlet top.
In no time working small scale I had this little gem on paper, using mixed media, mixed media is usually a collaboration of at least three different medium, from acrylic to ink. I don't hesitate combining what I would not have done back a few years, being a stickler for traditional rules and working mostly with oil.
I took a stack of photos of myself in my bedroom one morning half asleep after the idea came to me on waking, seeing myself recorded looking not my best, I thought WT you are too stressed my dear, anyhow on looking at them yesterday I thought hey they are not too bad, thinking we are our worse critic, it was a case of selecting which image to start to reproduce in paint etc , decided I will most likely paint them all lets start with this one. I love it, Looking forward to doing the next one, with improvement... .
