A created this piece in charcoal this afternoon, as can be seen in a loose style , I have for a few weeks been working on restoring an oil I painted in 2009, I finished earlier than usual, then sat down to do this piece inspired by one of my all time favourite artists the great Kathe Kollwitz, it is a play on her famous work "Mother Holding a Dead Child" I don't mind borrowing from the greats as long as I add something of my own as I have here with the lamb, it came to mind without much thought, and I felt it perfect to include with my latest Animal Rights inspired art.
