Work Description.

It is very small the portrait I began today in oil, so use to medium to large format, I found it a challenge to size down. I took my time today I have been working at a frantic pace causing sleep problems etc. I'm rusty haven't worked oil for awhile, mm mmm small doesn't look very impressive, mm mmm not sure if this size suits my subject, Oh it should be painted large, no you are not doing large they take up room and are difficult to move house with, portraits don't sell, ok ...well I'm starting now 11am . All set up not much space required nor paint, small palette, all set go, oh I haven't used oil for awhile or painted in a realistic style, pick up brush ok delicate little strokes, tiny little brushes, oh this feels good, the linen is beautiful to work on, I feel nice and comfy just sitting applying tiny little strokes, this is easy Robyn, look how much progress you have made already, not like large,  not much cleaning up to do with tiny little brushes, no mess anywhere, a breeze, but it is very small, doesn't look very impressive
This piece won't show it's potential until near on completing, so I will have to be patient.
